The Simplest Path to Happiness
We often assume happiness is complicated.
Something to achieve, something to earn, something waiting on the other side of better circumstances, better relationships, better outcomes.
So we chase it.
We try to arrange the outside world in a way that will finally allow us to feel good inside.
But this practice reveals something beautifully simple:
Happiness is not created by adding more to your life.
It is created by carrying less.
Less irritation.
Less resentment.
Less replayed conversations.
Less emotional residue from moments that have already passed.
And the way you carry less is through four small phrases:
I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
You do not say them to fix your life.
You say them to clear what is weighing you down inside it.
As the weight lifts, something surprising appears in its place.
Lightness.
Calm.
A steady sense of being okay that does not depend on anything happening around you.
That is happiness in its simplest form.
Not something you chase.
Something you uncover.
One phrase at a time.
