Radical Responsibility: The Path Back to Power
Responsibility is one of the most misunderstood concepts in personal growth. Most people hear the word and immediately associate it with blame, guilt, or self-criticism. That is not what I am talking about.
In Spiritual Bitch Slap, radical responsibility is not about fault. It is about power.
Blame feels good in the moment. It gives us a target. A story. Someone or something to point at. But blame also keeps us stuck, because as long as the cause of our suffering exists outside of us, so does the solution.
Responsibility brings the solution home.
Taking responsibility does not mean you caused everything that happened to you. It means you recognize that you are responsible for how long it continues. You are responsible for the boundaries you set…or do not. The truths you speak…or avoid. The patterns you keep repeating because they feel familiar.
When we stay focused on who hurt us, disappointed us, or failed us, we hand our power away. When we ask, “What is mine to clean here?” we take it back.
That question is not about shame. It is about sovereignty.
Radical responsibility ends the loop. It stops the repetition. It shifts the energy from victimhood to authorship.
This is where real freedom begins.
Not when others change.
Not when circumstances improve.
But when you stop waiting for permission to live differently.
Responsibility is not heavy…it is liberating. It is the moment you realize you do not have to relive the same lesson again. You can learn it once and move on.
And yes, it is uncomfortable. Growth always is. But discomfort is temporary. Repetition is exhausting.
This shift…from blame to responsibility…is at the heart of Spiritual Bitch Slap. If you are ready to reclaim your power and stop looping the same lessons, the book is available now.
